Since I posted my packing video on Instagram last week, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my ToteSavvy Mini. So I thought it would be appropriate to make it this week’s Friday Favorite.
I came across Life in Play’s ToteSavvy organizer on Instagram and loved the idea of being able to easily “switch out” diaper bags. ToteSavvy has a blog post about the Mini vs. the Original which helped me choose which size I wanted. I went with the mini because of the extra room it allowed within the Fawn Design Diaper Bag. This way I am able to use the inner Fawn pockets as well. Plus, it’s the example Fawn Design shows the most on their Instagram. The Mini sells for $45 and comes in 4 colors and the Original sells for $72 and comes in 7 colors.
Bonus: You can buy a ToteSavvy on Amazon!
I’m partial to my Fawn Design Diaper Bag but the Mini will fit in almost any tote you have! It measures 9.5″L x 9″H x 4″D and has 6 pockets, one being insulated. It also includes a key clasp, changing pad, and three larger pockets. This is where I keep Roman’s formula dispensers, wipes/butt paste, and diapers. Then, there are two smaller pockets, where I keep Roman’s pacifiers, teethers, and/or any medications we may need. The sixth pocket (which I don’t think really counts) is in the middle as a slit. I have yet to use it but some I’ve seen it used for planners, flying documents, or thin snack pouches.
The changing pad is quite large, but very thin. It’s made out of washable nylon and measures 25″ x 20″. Knowing the Mini came with a changing pad, I never registered for a different one and always use it. After a trip or when I’m doing Roman’s laundry, I’ll throw it in the wash and hang it to dry. If you ever need a replacement, they do sell them on their site for $8.
I got the ToteSavvy before I had Roman and took it with me on multiple trips. So even if you’re not a momma, this is the bag organizer of your dreams! In the future, I may upgrade to the original, because I do love the number of pockets, but for now the Mini works great for us. I would definitely recommend checking out the ToteSavvy Blog or Instagram to get inspiration on the best use with your choosen bag.
If you are interested in other organizing accessories from ToteSavvy, below are two that I have yet to purchase, but love the concept.
First, the Pocket Labels. If you’re a label girl, these are perfect for you. The pocket labels help identify each pocket so you can stay better organized. For $10 you get 1 sheet of 80 labels. They say things like wet wipes, diapers, formula, etc. There are not any reviews on these, so I’m not sure how well they stay on the organizer, but I like the concept.
The second accessory I love is the Changing Kit. Maybe you don’t feel you need an organizer, but still want a super cute changing kit. ToteSavvy’s Deluxe Changing Kit is $35 (p.s. right now it’s on Amazon for $25) and comes with one pocket for diapers and two sets of loops to hold your wipes and diaper paste. The kit also comes with a similar changing pad the organizers come with except it buttons on the inside. The changing kit is 11”x 9”and folds nicely to fit into any diaper bag. I’ve considered getting this a few times, but if you have the Original or Mini, I don’t think it’s necessary.
