Every Friday I’m going to try to share a review of my favorite baby products. To start Friday Favorites, I wanted to share my love for the BOON Drying Rack. It’s no secret that as a parent you’re constantly hand washing bottles, pacifiers and other baby gear. Various bottle drying racks are on every example baby registry list, but I H A T E things on my counters. I always thought I would just lay out a dish towel and let all the baby things dry like I do with my dishes. After reading the pros and cons of having one, I was convinced.
Basically all you need to know is they help eliminate germs!
As cute as the green grass concept is, it was not for me. I ended up getting the BOON Lawn Drying Rack in white. If you know me well, you know I’m not one to want much color in my home.
BOON’s Drying racks come in three different sizes, the Lawn, Grass, and Patch. The Lawn is the largest size at 13.5 by 11 inches. It’s nice because it has a low profile on your counter, and is easy to clean. I fit all of Roman’s bottles on it with and still have space for random baby items. The Twig is nice because it allows you to hang and dry small parts. I use our Twig for pacifiers, and the ComoTomo nipple rings.
Besides aesthetics, I like the BOON Lawn because, unlike other drying racks, it doesn’t use a prong system for drying, making the entire “lawn” usable space. The BOON Lawn is easy to clean as well. The rack is designed to dry items standing upright, letting the excess water fall into the bottom tray. About once or twice a week I’ll dump the water (there never is much in it) and hand wash the Lawn & tray.
BOON products tend to be on the expensive side, but I would say they’re worth it and very well made. I love their products so much that I also have the BOON Trip– the traveling drying rack. If you’re looking for something not so bulky, and isn’t a total eyesore on your counter I would definitely say the BOON drying racks are for you.
